Aequator AG, a Swiss coffee machine manufacturer, faced significant challenges in planning and production due to its need to efficiently manage a high number of variants, from small batches down to single-unit orders, while meeting promised delivery dates. The company sought an end-to-end ERP-MES solution to support multi-stage production and create a flexible data foundation for future market changes. They implemented the PSIpenta/ERP and MES solution from vendor PSI Software.

The PSI Software solution provided an integrated system with an electronic KANBAN system and a control station for precise, flexible planning and visualization of the production process. This allowed Aequator to produce without retooling on the assembly line, resulting in shorter throughput times, efficient handling of individual customer requirements, and increased transparency across all company processes. The system provided the necessary flexibility and created a reliable data basis for the company's ongoing change process.
