SoC (System-on-Chip) – driving the adoption of MISRA / QA·C throughout the supply chain - from the OEMs right down to the silicon

Socionext, a Yokohama, Japan-based designer and developer of embedded system-on-a-chip technologies for imaging and networking, needed a reliable way to ensure its software met MISRA requirements for automotive partners. As the number of developers grew and the team split across two sites, manual code reviews became harder to manage.

Socionext adopted Helix QAC for C from PRQA, using the MISRA C:2012 compliance module to automate code reviews and map 1,300 messages to 150 internal coding rules. With PRQA’s Helix QAC, the company says it detects coding issues earlier, improves code quality before testing, and has reduced development time by 10% while meeting customer MISRA compliance requirements.
