Delphi Diesel, an international division of Delphi Automotive Systems, needed a better way to ensure software quality for its diesel technology products. The company had already adopted the MISRA standard and used manual code reviews and syntax checkers, but it lacked an efficient static code analysis tool for C and C++.

Delphi Diesel chose PRQA’s Helix QAC and the MISRA compliance module to automate code review and enforce MISRA compliance. According to Delphi, the quality and consistency of its first generation code “skyrocketed,” and its final products became “virtually error-free,” with engineers across experience levels producing more consistent code.
