Case Study: Brooklyn Navy Yard achieves faster, smoother visitor check-ins and stronger security with Proxyclick

A Proxyclick Case Study

Preview of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Case Study

How Brooklyn Navy Yard makes checking in thousands of visitors a day a smooth process

The Brooklyn Navy Yard is a 300‑acre industrial park in New York housing 260 tenants and welcoming thousands of visitors daily, with rapid growth expected. Their internally hosted visitor portal couldn’t scale or provide real‑time updates, was hard for tenants to use, required manual ID checks and caused long lines and traffic backups, while maintenance costs remained high.

Proxyclick was deployed and integrated with the Yard’s S2 NetBox access control across seven gates, shuttle buses, turnstiles and front desks, using QR codes, badge printing, mobile check‑in and an automated watchlist with real‑time security alerts. The result: check‑in time is down to one third, tenant pre‑registrations are up 30%, security workflows are simpler to train and manage, and the Yard now has a scalable, consistent visitor experience while testing further enhancements like license‑plate recognition and wayfinding.
