Technoseum, one of the largest museums in Germany, faced the challenge of navigating visitors through its vast 12,000 square meter exhibition space across 7 floors. The sheer number of exhibits and experiment stations was overwhelming for guests. To improve the visitor experience, Technoseum partnered with Proximi.io to utilize its indoor positioning service within a new mobile app.

Proximi.io's solution was implemented using 270 BLE beacons installed with magnets for a durable and flexible setup. This provided high accuracy, real-time positioning that was connected to the museum’s floorplan and mobile application. The result was a system that notifies visitors about nearby objects in real-time, offering them better orientation and significantly improving engagement options throughout the museum.
