Case Study: Les Lilas achieves high-speed, cost-effective municipal connectivity with Proxim Wireless Tsunami 10100

In Suburbs of Paris, The Community of Les Lilas, Selects Proxim’s Tsunami® 10100 to Support High Speed Data Connectivity

Les Lilas, a municipal community in the suburbs of Paris, needed a cost-effective, robust way to replace expensive leased lines connecting its government offices and central datacenter. After an RFP, the town selected Proxim Wireless and its Tsunami point‑to‑point radios (later upgraded to the Tsunami 10100/QB‑10100) to deliver high‑capacity outdoor wireless backhaul.

Proxim Wireless, together with partner Axiome Services, deployed links to 15 remote locations and in 2016 upgraded the datacenter connection to Tsunami QB‑10100, delivering up to 867 Mbps over the air and using WORP® and Proxim ClearConnect for carrier‑class reliability. The result was a successful replacement of the wire‑line system with lower recurring costs, dependable weather‑resilient connectivity across departments, and a measurable increase in available bandwidth.
