BH Telecom’s Rural Wireless delivers triple-play services over one wireless infrastructure with Proxim Wireless

BH Telecom, a leading telecommunications provider in Bosnia and Herzegovina, faced the challenge of delivering reliable broadband, voice, and IPTV services to remote rural communities where installing traditional fiber was cost-prohibitive due to the mountainous terrain. To overcome this, they partnered with Proxim Wireless to deploy a wireless Triple Play service infrastructure.

The solution from Proxim Wireless utilized Tsunami point-to-point and point-to-multipoint base stations and customer premise equipment to create a high-speed network. This enabled simultaneous IPTV, VoIP, and internet browsing and was managed through the ProximVision NMS for seamless control. As a result, BH Telecom expanded its market presence with a sustainable and cost-effective model, delivering a positive socio-economic impact to rural Bosnia and Herzegovina.
