Altitude Infrastructure Upgrades its Network With High Capacity Wireless

Altitude Infra, a subsidiary of Altitude Group active across 19 regions in France, faced rapidly growing bandwidth demands while fiber expansion to remote areas proved cost prohibitive. To deliver a high-capacity, cost-efficient wireless backhaul that could operate in the license-free 5.4 GHz band, Altitude Infra selected Proxim Wireless and its Tsunami QuickBridge product family.

Proxim Wireless initially deployed 250 point-to-point Tsunami QuickBridge 11 radios and later migrated the network to the Tsunami QuickBridge 8150/8250 (QuickBridge 8200 Series), leveraging WORP® and Proxim ClearConnect® for high QoS, low latency/jitter and IP67-rated outdoor reliability. The Proxim Wireless solution enabled fast, low-cost deployment, immediate improvements in capacity and service reliability, and scalable growth for future expansions—helping Altitude Infra provide affordable, high-capacity connections to its subscribers.
