Alzheimer’s Prevention Initiative reaches 270K registry participants with Provoc

The Alzheimer’s Prevention Initiative, a leading Alzheimer’s prevention research group, faced the significant challenge of recruiting healthy participants for prevention studies, which diverges from the traditional paradigm of recruiting those already afflicted. They partnered with Provoc to build a massive recruitment program, including the Alzheimer’s Prevention Registry, to find people online who were primed to act and to inspire them with clear information.

Provoc implemented an updated Registry website using improved, scalable technology and new engagement techniques like video learning modules. The solution focused on learning participant motivations and experimenting with different acquisition channels to maximize engagement and conversion. As a result, the registry grew from 13,000 to over 270,000 participants, with 30,000 new sign-ups following the update. The work also garnered major media coverage, including a segment on 60 Minutes that reached 17 million viewers.
