University of Houston-Downtown (UHD), a four-year state university in the University of Houston System, needed to move its legacy website content to SharePoint 2013. The challenge was to extract web pages, images, PDFs, and other attachments from www.uhd.edu, then restyle and transform the content so it would work cleanly in SharePoint while preserving the right page layouts and metadata.

Proventeq used its Migration Accelerator for SharePoint 2013, along with a source connector for legacy websites, to migrate the site end to end. Proventeq configured rules for metadata mapping and HTML transformation, loaded images and documents into the appropriate SharePoint libraries, and completed item-level auditing to ensure reliable migration. The result was a flexible, standardized, and metadata-rich move with reduced effort, time, and cost through automation and reuse of the migration process.
