Royal Ahrend, a Dutch furniture company, needed to migrate from a legacy IBM FileNet environment to SharePoint Online while preserving complex historical content across clients, current projects, and past projects. The existing system had poor user experience, incomplete metadata, difficult information architecture, and compliance/security issues because dossier documents were stored in common object stores.

Proventeq used its Migration Accelerator and Content Analyser to assess the FileNet landscape, redesign the information architecture, and migrate content with custom classification, security remapping, metadata enrichment, and customer-specific document libraries. Proventeq consolidated 29 content types down to 5, ran a pilot migration, and then completed a full-fidelity migration with an item-level audit trail, helping Royal Ahrend improve usability, maintain business continuity, reduce legacy system costs, and enable secure remote working in Microsoft 365.
