The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA), a Belgian financial services regulator, needed to migrate more than a million items from Exchange 2003 Public Folders to SharePoint. The project involved filtering out a large portion of content, converting mail messages from EML to MSG, handling long file paths that exceeded SharePoint limits, and keeping frequently changing data synchronized.

Proventeq worked with local partner Sogeti and used its Migration Accelerator and Discovery tool to analyze, cleanse, standardize, and migrate the content and metadata into the new environment. Proventeq also applied rules to manage overlong URLs and convert selected items to MSG format, delivering a flexible end-to-end solution with an item-level audit to ensure data consistency, reliability, and on-time completion.
