Cancer Research UK, a leading UK charity dedicated to cancer research, needed to migrate a legacy custom-built WCMS to Oracle while improving search and content classification. Proventeq was brought in to handle the migration of digital assets, metadata extraction and transformation, URL redirects, taxonomy alignment, and support for multiple file types including Flash, podcasts, and web forms.

Proventeq delivered the migration to Oracle UCM (Stellent), generated migration and error reports, and used a mop-up process to resolve exceptions. The team also uncovered previously unknown file types and migrated them successfully, reducing downtime and minimizing impact. Cancer Research UK said Proventeq went to great lengths to understand its business needs, and the project goals were exceeded.
