Case Study: Swiftmile achieves 20x platform performance and real-time scalability with Provectus

A Provectus Case Study

Preview of the Swiftmile Case Study

Swiftmile accelerates business growth, reduces operational costs, and improves user experience on a new data platform

Swiftmile, a universal charging platform for micromobility, needed to modernize its monolithic backend as it prepared for global expansion. The company wanted a more scalable, data-driven platform that could support more stations, real-time streaming data, third-party integrations, and improved user experience while keeping infrastructure costs under control. Provectus, an AWS Premier Consulting Partner, was brought in to help redesign the platform.

Provectus built a new microservice-based data platform on AWS using Apache Kafka, a Java stack, Swiss Army Kube (SAK), and NextGen Data Platform. The modernization was completed in seven months and delivered a 20x increase in performance and capacity at the same cloud cost, support for over 10,000 connected stations, 4x faster firmware uploads, 5x faster data extraction and processing, and 100% system availability with zero incidents reported.
