Enabling Microservice Cloud Architecture to Augment ML Development

Figure Eight, a human-in-the-loop AI/ML platform, needed to move beyond the scalability and agility limits of its monolithic application. Provectus helped the customer transition to a cloud microservice architecture to speed up data and machine learning development, improve deployment clarity, and support faster delivery of high-quality training data.

Provectus designed, standardized, and implemented the new architecture by dockerizing legacy applications and deploying them across AWS services, including ECS, Kubernetes, Amazon S3, CloudFront, Lambda, SQS, ElastiCache, CloudFormation, and EMR. The result was 50+ microservices, 99.99% platform uptime, over 10% lower AWS costs, faster independent releases, and the ability to launch a new microservice in as little as one day.
