University of Colorado Web Systems Group Reduces Information Architecture Time by 67%

The University of Colorado Web Systems Group needed to prototype a new website and online application for Housing and Dining Services’ Conference Services unit under a tight schedule. Their previous card-sorting/Visio/HTML wireframing process was time-consuming, required many meetings, and made it difficult to incorporate feedback quickly, so they chose ProtoShare to focus stakeholders on site architecture and speed up prototyping.

Using ProtoShare’s Site Map, Navigation and Rich Text components plus the Review feature, the team produced a fully navigable low‑fidelity prototype and iterated with stakeholders in real time. ProtoShare enabled them to capture decisions on the spot, reduce and shorten meetings, and cut information architecture time from six weeks to two—a 67% reduction—while accelerating approval and deployment.
