Disruptor Beam Blasts Late-stage Rework with ProtoShare

Disruptor Beam, a Boston-based creator of Facebook social games, faced costly late-stage rework because complex game interfaces hid scenarios that clients and engineers couldn’t fully visualize from wikis, design documents and static comps. After HTML mock-ups proved inadequate, Disruptor Beam adopted ProtoShare’s prototyping tool to simulate game interactions and states so stakeholders could see how game flows would actually play out.

Using ProtoShare to build realistic, state-driven prototypes let Disruptor Beam uncover problems and clarify ambiguous scenarios before engineering began. ProtoShare enabled clearer client feedback, standardized the planning process, and “fail cheaply” iterations that eliminated the costly late-stage requirements changes and rework, bridging communication between clients, designers and engineers.
