Benco Dental, a large U.S. dental supplies distributor, needed a better way to personalize the buying experience across ecommerce, customer service, inside sales, and outside sales. The company struggled with reactive selling, missed opportunities, and limited visibility into customer needs across its high-SKU, multichannel business. Proton provided the AI-powered sales solution Benco used to address these challenges.

Benco Dental implemented Proton in phases, starting with ecommerce product recommendations and then expanding to customer service, inside sales, and outside sales tools. Proton delivered personalized recommendations, reorder and add-on prompts, account prioritization, and customer insights across channels, helping reps sell more effectively. Results included $2.7 million in incremental ecommerce revenue from Proton’s “similar products” model, about $250,000 in attributed revenue from customer service add-on recommendations, and a 728% increase in incremental revenue per sales pitch, from $0.99 to $7.21.
