Protolabs supports the development of an entry phone for the smart phone generation

Entryphone, a London-based family business designing and installing door entry systems, wanted to bring its sleek new 516v entry phone to market quickly. To do that, the company turned to Protolabs for support with a high-quality ABS casing, using Protolabs’ online quoting platform and design for manufacture (DFM) review as part of the injection moulding process.

Protolabs’ Application Engineers helped refine the CAD design by addressing issues such as wall thickness, draft, and gate/ejector layout, improving mouldability and cosmetic quality. Protolabs then created a standard single-cavity mould and delivered 50 sample parts in just 15 days, helping Entryphone move forward fast with its product launch and supporting a planned full production run.
