Lyfecycle, a sustainable plastic innovator working with Polymateria, needed to urgently create a premium “Reach for Change” bracelet to raise awareness about plastic pollution ahead of the Extreme E Arctic X-Prix. They had just one month to turn recycled cup material into bracelet components, and needed a manufacturing partner who could rapidly produce the parts using injection moulding.
Protolabs supported Lyfecycle with rapid plastic injection moulding, using customer-supplied repurposed plastic alongside additional materials to make the bracelet beads. With Protolabs’ help, Lyfecycle produced 200 bracelets in time for the Greenland launch, helping the campaign gain attention at Extreme E and later on the global stage, including COP26.
