Noise Limit ApS - Customer Case Study

Noise Limit ApS, a developer of noiseless cooling technology for high-end CPUs, faced a significant challenge during its development phase. The company needed rapid prototypes of molded plastic components that were equivalent to production parts to demonstrate its SilentFlux cooler to potential global customers. Most suppliers were quoting lead times of six to eight weeks, which was far too slow for the fast-paced IT industry. The company turned to Protolabs for its rapid injection molding service.

Protolabs provided an incredibly fast solution, delivering molded parts in the production material in as little as five days. Their Part Tester tool provided design feedback within an hour, and on one occasion, a tool was completed over a weekend with parts received shortly after. This speed allowed Noise Limit to quickly assemble and ship prototypes to a potential customer in Taiwan. The results were paramount, enabling the company to secure a manufacturing deal and progress toward selling its first products, with Protolabs also serving as a vital backup for production tooling.
