LG Allen Design, led by automotive designer Lester Allen, needed a better bike mount for a new car that could only carry one bike with its existing proprietary floor-mounted system. To test and refine his idea quickly, he turned to Protolabs for prototype and production part manufacturing support.

Protolabs reviewed Lester’s CAD model, generated an interactive automated quote, and suggested simple design refinements to reduce machining costs without affecting performance.
