A Protolabs Case Study
KTV Working Drone, a global drone technology provider, needed to produce durable, high-precision components that could withstand demanding conditions like heat exposure and thermal cycling. They faced challenges in maintaining consistent quality across repeat orders and scaling production globally. They partnered with Protolabs to address these needs.
Protolabs implemented Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) 3D printing to manufacture critical drone components, including complex print-in-place systems. This solution provided the necessary heat resistance, dimensional accuracy, and rapid turnaround. Working with Protolabs enabled KTV Working Drone to accelerate production, achieve approximately 75% lower purchase costs on certain products, and produce advanced geometries impossible with traditional methods.
