Cablewings, created by entrepreneur Vladislav Svetashkov and his start-up brezzl, wanted to solve the everyday problem of tangled cables spoiling the look and usability of premium tech products. To bring the idea to life quickly and affordably, the team turned to Protolabs for injection moulding and prototyping support.

Protolabs helped Cablewings move from CAD model to production-ready parts in just a few days using rapid injection moulding and its online ProtoQuote tool, along with manufacturability feedback. The result was a discreet cable winder made from end-use material, strong enough for real-world testing and launch, helping Cablewings win a Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018 and generate more than 250 pre-orders.
