A Protolabs Case Study
IEVA, a designer of customizable smart jewellery, needed to develop and industrialize its Twin-C collection while balancing aesthetics, functionality, manufacturability, and tight launch deadlines. To meet these challenges, the team used Protolabs’ 3D printing, CNC machining, and injection-moulding services to prototype and validate both the jewellery casing and the technical sub-assembly.
Protolabs provided fast, comprehensive support throughout development, including guidance on material selection and design choices. The result was highly accurate, production-ready parts: metal 3D printing delivered prototypes in three days with precision 10% better than required, and Protolabs’ turnaround times were said to be three times shorter than standard subcontractors, helping IEVA launch with confidence.
