Case Study: Priority Designs achieves faster, lower-cost prototyping with Proto3000 3D printing

A Proto3000 Case Study

Preview of the Priority Designs Case Study

Priority Designs uses 3D printing to streamline product development cycle

Priority Designs, an industrial design consultancy in Columbus, Ohio, needed to make a new Bluetooth speaker that stood out through unique interaction and refined CMF (colour, material, finish). To accelerate concept-to-prototype work, Priority Designs partnered with Proto3000 and used a digital workflow built around KeyShot rendering and Stratasys J55 full‑color 3D printing (files moved via 3MF/GrabCAD Print) to test forms, textures and finishes rapidly.

Proto3000 implemented the KeyShot-to-J55 workflow so Priority Designs could render realistic visuals and turn designs into full‑colour prototypes overnight. The result was much faster iteration and client communication, enabling on-the-fly CMF exploration, avoiding time‑consuming CNC work and the hundreds-to-thousands‑dollar cost penalties that would have entailed — delivering quicker validation and lower prototyping costs for Priority Designs.
