EAC Ornaments Métalliques, a vertically integrated maker of luxury metal accessories, faced high tooling costs, long lead times and difficulty producing low-volume, highly detailed custom parts. To address these challenges they adopted Proto3000’s metal 3D printing solution, using the Shop System to remove costly custom tooling and enable greater design freedom for their customers.

Proto3000 implemented the Shop System to produce tooling-free, powder-bed metal parts with complex geometry and mid-volume throughput. As a result, EAC reduced crafting and assembly time by 250 hours, now produces 17,600 individual pieces per week with no assembly required, lowers per-part costs by eliminating tooling and support machining, and can rapidly iterate seasonal designs.
