Protiviti helped one global insurer prepare for a major digital transformation

Global Insurance Company faced a pressing need to modernize its IT and operations so it could deliver enhanced digital capabilities to agents and customers—better mobile platforms, straight-through processing, analytics and self-service—while still supporting decades-old legacy systems. To assess whether the organization could execute that digital strategy, Global Insurance Company engaged Protiviti to perform a digital enablement/IT assessment and develop a practical transformation plan.

Protiviti conducted a multidisciplinary, four‑pronged evaluation—covering core application quality, enterprise architecture and data strategy, agile solution delivery, and a target operating model—and delivered a thorough digital enablement assessment, a target operating model, a prioritized list of specific initiatives and an 18‑month road map by April 2016. As a result of Protiviti’s work, Global Insurance Company has begun building the capabilities and programs identified, adopting an enterprise architecture and digital mind‑sets and focusing on increasing speed and quality of delivery, with the 18‑month plan providing clear, measurable priorities to close the identified gaps.
