Northern Health, which delivers health services to about 300,000 people across 600,000 square kilometres in British Columbia, faced an outdated and inconsistent SharePoint 2010 intranet after a Database Attach upgrade—staff couldn’t find documents and long‑standing issues persisted. Northern Health engaged Protiviti, using their SharePoint on Call service (including an Architecture/Server Audit), and asked for an accessible support network and practical guidance to restore information architecture and usability.
Protiviti’s SharePoint on Call team performed an Architecture Audit that identified many environmental issues, provided clear recommendations, and helped restore design consistency, functionality and findability. The work by Protiviti has led to positive user feedback, easier access to important documents, detection and remediation of numerous issues, and a streamlined, transparent support ticketing process as the SharePoint 2010 intranet project moves toward launch.
