Jeld-Wen, a global manufacturer of windows and doors, voluntarily pursued Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance to strengthen its controls and best practices. After being acquired by Onex, the company suddenly had just one year to meet key elements of Canadian SOX across a decentralized, multinational organization. Jeld-Wen worked with Protiviti and its Governance Portal to support the effort.

Protiviti implemented the Governance Portal to help Jeld-Wen quickly roll out a global SOX program, incorporate more than 110 entities, and give over 1,000 control owners secure access to documentation, testing, and reporting. The solution enabled flexible change management, efficient workflows, and real-time reporting, helping Jeld-Wen meet its one-year deadline and manage nearly 3,000 controls more efficiently across more than 150 locations.
