Leading Entertainment Resort engaged Protiviti to address new card-fraud liability rules and improve guest payments by implementing an EMV-enabled chip-reading point-of-sale (POS) system and mobile payment capabilities. The resort needed a fully vetted, risk- and compliance‑tested POS rollout that would meet the EMV mandate without degrading the fast, seamless guest experience for millions of annual visitors.
Protiviti served in an advisory and implementation‑oversight role, using agile sprints to deploy chip readers, PIN debit and mobile wallets and working with the resort to streamline transaction processes (trimming roughly two seconds per card transaction). As a result, Protiviti helped the Leading Entertainment Resort reach nearly 100% EMV compliance, significantly reduce credit-card fraud and chargebacks, enable Apple Pay and Android Pay, and lower transaction fees through PIN debit at employee cafeterias.
