Sodexo Education, the university dining division of Sodexo, needed a way to augment its social media outreach and drive traffic to underperforming campus dining locations while also providing rapid event and emergency communications and gathering student feedback. To meet these goals they partnered with ProTexting to deploy an SMS-based mobile marketing solution (custom mobile marketing platform/myTxt) for colleges and universities across North America.

ProTexting built and maintained a custom platform with tailored data collection forms, automated student notifications, mobile surveys and training for Sodexo’s marketing teams. The program now spans over 200 locations, has grown each year, and delivers campaigns that generate purchases 8–10× above normal rates; immediate feedback via SMS has also improved the campus dining experience. ProTexting’s four-year partnership with Sodexo has produced measurable ROI and increasing adoption across Sodexo’s university clients.
