Data Security Architecture Enables Business Growth for a Top 5 Global Bank

Top 5 Global Bank, one of the largest US-based banks serving more than 200 million customers across 160 countries, needed a better way to maintain compliance in an evolving privacy landscape while still enabling innovation. The bank wanted to improve financial data security, support cross-border data sharing, preserve data sovereignty in 130 countries, and unlock analytics and customer insights without duplicating infrastructure or relying on costly in-country data processors. Protegrity’s Secure Data Service was selected to help meet these requirements.

Protegrity designed a simple architecture with centralized administration and automated data protection endpoints, integrated into ServiceNow for fast, self-service onboarding. This enabled consistent protection across the enterprise, compliance with 130+ privacy laws, and secure use cases such as analytics, marketing, fraud detection, and cloud integrations. The results included more than 200 million customers covered by enterprise-wide analytics, a global rollout completed three months ahead of schedule, over $50M in infrastructure and processor cost savings, $18M in net new revenue over five years, and $1.2B in sales from a self-service commercial card platform.
