Aflac Partners with Protegrity & Snowflake on AWS

Aflac, a leading supplemental insurance provider, worked with Protegrity to support its move of sensitive-data workloads to the cloud. As Aflac expanded cloud-based analytics and business intelligence on AWS and Snowflake, it needed a more flexible data protection approach than its legacy data security gateway could provide, while still meeting strict security and regulatory requirements.

Protegrity implemented an integrated solution with Snowflake on AWS, using AWS Lambda serverless functions and the Protegrity Data Protection Platform to extend existing security policies into the cloud. The result was improved operational efficiency, lower costs, and the ability to process billions of tokenization operations per week and handle large Snowflake workloads with ease, all while maintaining the same security posture and improving user experience.
