How Melbourne Polytechnic Implemented a System That Manages Risks in a Fluid Tertiary Education Environment

Melbourne Polytechnic, one of Victoria’s largest vocational education providers with about 50,000 students across seven campuses, was managing risks in fragmented Word and Excel files that made reporting labour‑intensive and visibility poor. Protecht implemented a customised, integrated solution covering risk, obligations, compliance, findings, complaints, incident/breach management and WH&S, with a Launchpad, Action Register and Protecht Dashboard, plus training and support. The consolidated platform delivers a real‑time view of risk, faster, targetable reporting (PowerPoint/Excel/PDF), stronger auditability and a significant increase in ERM/GRC maturity, enabling Melbourne Polytechnic to respond rapidly to emerging risks and opportunities across its campuses.
