The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA), the U.S. trade association for the asphalt pavement industry, faced an urgent need to modernize a proprietary, DOS-like AMS that forced paper/fax member updates, required many redundant manual staff steps, and could not handle NAPA’s highly complex, tonnage-based dues calculations. NAPA engaged Protech Associates to replace the legacy system using Protech AMS built for Microsoft Dynamics 365, along with the MX member-facing website, UX 365 member database and e-commerce solution to enable member self-service and streamline back-office workflows.
Protech Associates implemented and configured the Dynamics 365–based AMS, migrated data, integrated financial and fulfillment systems, and deployed the MX e-commerce site and a custom dues-calculation module, training staff virtually. The Protech Associates solution put members in control of profiles, automated complex dues adjustments, gave staff mobile access to a centralized database, improved reporting and inventory visibility, and reduced manual tasks — leading to measurable outcomes such as a 153% increase in webinar participation in 2020 with 98% user satisfaction, plus more accurate data and deeper member engagement.
