Healthcare Organization, a large not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Florida, needed to determine whether Cisco UCS servers would be a viable platform for its PeopleSoft ERP implementation. The organization was struggling to manage firmware upgrades on its existing HP blade and enclosure environment and wanted a neutral third party to evaluate the best server option for this high-profile project. ProSys was brought in to assess the technical and financial fit of the infrastructure.

ProSys worked with Cisco and VMware to design the architecture, compare HP and Cisco options, and validate the approach through a proof of concept. After approval, ProSys deployed Cisco UCS servers for PeopleSoft, helping Healthcare Organization save on hardware and Oracle licensing costs while reducing management overhead. The customer later standardized on Cisco UCS for blade servers, lowering hardware spend, eliminating firmware upgrade challenges, and speeding server deployment and administration.
