Focusrite, the UK-listed audio technology company behind the Scarlett range of USB interfaces, needed a better way to plan and forecast resources across its hardware and software product roadmaps. Before Tempus Resource by ProSymmetry, the team relied heavily on spreadsheets and lacked a single source of truth for roadmap planning, resource allocation, and scenario analysis.

ProSymmetry implemented Tempus Resource to give Focusrite bulk resource forecasting, capacity planning, demand and proposal planning, and What-If analysis at the FTE level. The result was faster, more objective decision-making, better visibility into workload and risk, and more efficient planning for roughly 300 resources, including reduced firefighting by proactively reserving capacity for maintenance and urgent work. Focusrite also expanded Tempus beyond product development into IT and operational transformation projects.
