Case Study: Camden Council achieves streamlined safety management and automated incident alerts with Prospecta's WorkSafeOnline

A Prospecta Case Study

Preview of the Camden Council Case Study

One of Sydney’s local governments streamlined their occupational health and safety processes with WorkSafeOnline (WSO)

Camden Council, a local government in the Macarthur region of NSW with about 500 employees and roughly 450 OHS users, was relying on paper and Excel processes that made safety data collection, storage and reporting slow and error-prone. The council faced poor transparency during staff movements, no immediate alerts for incidents, no tracking or escalations for risks and tasks, and manual data manipulation to produce reports. To address these issues, Camden Council engaged Prospecta to implement the WorkSafeOnline (WSO) occupational health and safety platform.

Prospecta deployed WorkSafeOnline across ~450 users and 60 divisions, implementing modules for Hazards, Incidents, Injury Management, Audits/Inspections, Claims, Training, Document, Employee, Project and Contractor Management. The solution added single sign-on, mass employee upload with HRIS integration, automated workflows and CAPA, and real-time alerts to managers and safety champions, plus improved ad-hoc reporting. As a result, Camden Council can now run consistent department-level reports, trigger immediate responses to critical incidents, centrally maintain safety records and streamline safety operations across the council.
