Mondelez International partnered with Prospecta to solve widespread master-data issues across its manufacturing plants using MasterDataOnline (MDO) — specifically MDO Clarify and MDO Governance. Facing roughly 45,000 material records with no duplicity checks, inconsistent naming conventions, no workflow or approval processes, and frequent incorrect field entries, Mondelez needed a scalable solution to standardize material descriptions, prevent duplicates, and enable governance and mass updates.

Prospecta implemented MDO Clarify and MDO Governance to cleanse, standardize and govern Mondelez’s master data; MDO Clarify removed about 6,750 duplicate records out of 45,000 and standardized MRO and material descriptions with business validations. As a result, inventory and reporting became more efficient, maintenance teams can identify materials across plants, storage and duplication costs were reduced, stocktakes and spend analysis improved, and a lasting governance process ensured clean, consistent master data.
