Al Turki, a 100% Omani construction company with over 7,000 employees active in steel, cement and EPC, faced widespread master-data problems in SAP: duplicate records, lack of standardization and ownership, no approval processes, rising user-related costs, and poor data quality that hurt operational efficiency and reporting. To address these issues, Prospecta was engaged to deliver a Master Data Governance program using its MDO solution, including the MDO Plant Maintenance (PM) module.

Prospecta implemented MDO Governance and the MDO PM module with a standardization engine, approval workflows, and mass-processing capabilities to classify materials, enforce create/change/extend/copy/delete approvals, and manage technical object hierarchies (Functional Location, Equipment, Equipment BOM, Maintenance Plan). As a result, Al Turki reduced duplicate spare-parts inventory, achieved consistent master data across systems, improved MRO visibility and operational standards, and sped up master-data processes—improving reporting accuracy and overall efficiency.
