Big Bang Rollout Tackles Technological Issues

Erasmus University Rotterdam Library needed a better way to manage its growing electronic resource collection, respond to student demand for a Google-like search experience, and keep library systems up to date. The library turned to ProQuest for 360 Link and the Summon service to improve discovery and access across its collection.

ProQuest’s 360 Link and Summon service helped the library streamline staff workflows, give students and academic staff a more useful search channel, and support faster access to full text. After implementation, Erasmus University Rotterdam saw a 90% increase in use of local databases between 2009 and 2010, and the library also began updating to ProQuest’s 360 Resource Manager.
