Northwoods Consulting Partners, a software provider for human and social services, needed to move away from complex Excel workbooks that were slowing monthly reporting, budgeting and cash forecasting as they prepared to launch a new SaaS product. After an unsuccessful experience with another vendor, they chose Prophix for a flexible, easy-to-use CPM solution that could centralize data and streamline multiple finance processes.
With Prophix, Northwoods built a multi-scenario cash-forecasting model and consolidated data from Microsoft Dynamics GP, Project Online and Concur, enabling 2–3x faster scenario runs and a single source of financial truth. Budgeting time fell from six to four months (with a three-month target), the finance team gained deeper CRM-driven revenue and cost analysis, and the solution paid for itself in the first year; Northwoods now plans to move all internal reporting and revenue planning into Prophix.
