A Fresh New Take on Finance for Abena

Abena is a Danish, family-owned manufacturer and wholesaler of incontinence and healthcare products operating globally. Although they had precise consolidated data, their finance team relied on spreadsheet templates and email exchanges to collect subsidiary data, which was hard to track; combined with problems in their ERP, this prompted a search for a more integrated consolidation and budgeting solution.

Abena upgraded from Prophix 10 (4 users) to Prophix Version 12 with 50 users, adopting its web interface, workflow and visual analytics to centralize data collection and reporting. The upgrade let subsidiaries log in directly, enabled workflow tracking and notifications, produced interactive dashboards (reducing the need for a separate BI tool) and delivered smoother monthly consolidation, more structured budgeting and forecasting, and greater detail in financial data.
