Horizon Freight Lines, a family-owned carrier founded in 1937 that hauls automobile assembly components across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, was struggling with bottlenecks from manual processes—spreadsheets, whiteboards and a standalone accounting system—that could not keep pace with steady growth. To modernize dispatch and office operations, Horizon selected Prophesy Transportation Solutions and its ProphesySeries Dispatch software.

Prophesy Transportation Solutions implemented ProphesySeries Dispatch with a QuickBooks interface and modules for fuel tax reporting, mileage & routing, driver and fleet management, fuel card importing and document imaging, and provided staff training through the University of Prophesy. The change let one person handle rating while dispatchers focused on service, made locating PODs much faster, and materially improved productivity and efficiency; Horizon now operates 80 trucks with 110 employees and has opened an additional office in Laredo, Texas as it continues to grow.
