GDX Trucking, a Chula Vista–based LTL and TL carrier serving the western U.S., faced growing pains as it moved from a whiteboard-and-filing-cabinet approach to tracking trips. To automate dispatch and administration, GDX selected Prophesy Transportation Solutions’ Prophesy DispatchSeries (now running Prophesy Dispatch Version 6.2) to replace manual processes and support expanding services like airfreight, regional and expedited shipping.

Prophesy Transportation Solutions implemented Prophesy Dispatch v6.2 with QuickBooks, Qualcomm, EDI and Electronic Fuel Card interfaces plus integrated tools (TaxTally, Mileage & Routing, Document Imaging and VisiFreight). The in‑house deployment and phone training let GDX consolidate all daily information and paperwork into one system, eliminating the whiteboard/files workflow and “saving the company labor, money, and time.” The return to Prophesy after briefly trying a competitor underscores the improved usability and operational impact, helping GDX handle increased volume and support future growth.
