Restaurant Chain Wins Low-Cost Conversions & Geo Fencing

Restaurant Chain engaged Propellant Media to build brand awareness and drive in-store conversions while keeping cost-per-acquisition at or below $20. The chain needed better reach and tracking than previous vendors could provide, so Propellant Media applied geo-fencing technology and conversion tracking to more precisely target potential diners near key restaurants and competitors.

Propellant Media implemented geo-fencing with conversion zones around the chain’s target locations and the top 10 competitor sites within a 10-mile radius, plus search retargeting at the keyword level, category contextual targeting, site retargeting, multivariate latitude/longitude optimization, keyword refinement, and domain blacklisting mid-flight. The campaign delivered a CPA of $4.95 (well under the $20 goal) and enabled measurement of Total Visit Rate (TVR) and Cost Per Visit (CPV), improving the chain’s ability to track and lower the cost of in-store visits.
