WNYC, the New York–based NPR radio station and 501(c)(3) nonprofit, needed a way to grow podcast and broadcast audience reach online by tapping Google’s nonprofit ad funding. Propellant Media worked with WNYC to identify eligibility and pursue the Google Ad Grants as a channel to drive listener growth, fundraising, and membership.
Propellant Media successfully applied for the $10,000/month Google Grant and designed a highly segmented paid-search campaign for fundraising, station promotion, and membership drives across the U.S.; by fully utilizing the $10,000/month cap they qualified for GrantsPro and secured $40,000/month in Google search advertising credit, resulting in increased exposure and audience capture for WNYC.
