A Car Dealership wanted to target consumers showing intent to buy cars, capture market share from competitors, and increase sales, so they enlisted Propellant Media to target shoppers at competitor locations using geo-optimization and audience targeting. The challenge was to more precisely reach in-market buyers and convert competitor foot traffic into dealership visits.
Propellant Media built geo-fences around competitor locations, used multivariate algorithms to optimize keywords and blacklist irrelevant domains, and applied quick campaign learning to refine targeting. The campaign drove a CTR of 0.17% (above the 0.1% industry average) and Propellant Media’s reporting showed 63 people came from competitor locations into the dealership, results that exceeded the client’s expectations.
