Health Club Muscles Up To 25% In Membership Sales

Local Health Club was struggling to grow new memberships within an eight-mile radius: prior social media and direct-mail efforts with tight geo-targeting failed to deliver a positive ROI. Seeking to increase family memberships and enroll kids in swim classes, they engaged Propellant Media to improve local digital targeting using targeted display campaigns (and later FBX).

Propellant Media launched two zip-code–targeted campaigns—one waiving enrollment fees and one promoting swim classes—using targeted display and layered FBX targeting. In the first month the Local Health Club sold more memberships than any March in the past 12 years, sold out every swim class in record time, and achieved up to a 25% increase in membership sales, with sustained month-over-month gains through six months.
